The mechanic is responsible for the on-site and off-site maintenance and repair of company-owned equipment, trucks, and vehicles. Also responsible for following all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies. Essential Functions Maintains, repairs, all trucks and power equipment. Ability to do basic diagnostic and troubleshooting Cleans equipment as needed to aid in diagnostic evaluation and repairs. Travels to jobsites as needed for the emergency repair and maintenance of fleet equipment, and vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A good deal of responsibility falls on the mechanic to ensure the proper maintenance and availability of safe equipment for both the shop and the field. Here are some things we are looking for in a good candidate: Excitement and motivation for the workday ahead. Professionalism and willingness to take direction and constructive criticism in the field. Prioritizes the safety of every individual on the job site. Expresses a genuine interest in the thoughts, opinions, and needs of coworkers. General knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to meet attendance standards with dependability and consistency. Ability to deal with problems involving deviation from standardized and/or planned situations and procedures. Ability to MIG, Stick weld and Torch is a plus Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems. Education and Experience Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work as described. Valid and appropriate in-state driver's license (or the ability to obtain said license) is required. CDL preferred. Mechanics must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience with heavy construction equipment repair and maintenance. Conditions of Employment All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a negative pre-employment drug screen and certain background checks which, unless prohibited by applicable law, may include criminal history checks, employment verification, education verification, DMV checks, and fingerprinting. 40 hour work week, Overtime when available Inspection License is a plus.

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
