Job Title:
Mechanic (Heavy Equipment and Trucks)

Full-Time This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of company owned fleet vehicles including crew trucks, heavy duty diesel trucks and other miscellaneous fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and rebuild gas and diesel engine. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems Remove, clean, repair, reinstall and adjust vehicles mechanical components such as brake systems, suspensions, drivetrain components, steering systems, exhaust, body work, frames etc. Ensure fleet vehicles are operating in optimal and safe condition Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles such as oil and fluid changes, filter replacements and minor repairs Perform road calls and emergency service as required Ensure fleet vehicle repairs are made in a timely manner to minimize downtime Ensure fleet vehicles meet necessary all federal, state and local guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL drivers license Must have clean driving history with no major violations in the past 5 years Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings Must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of auto and diesel mechanical and electrical systems Must be willing to work flexible hours; overtime and weekends as required Must be self-motivated be able to work independently Must be able to work in challenging conditions such as dust, extreme temps, fumes etc Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Must have own tools Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads, bend, kneel, squat and reach during the course of the work,
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
PA Inspection License a plus ASE Certifications or equivalent preferred Ability to create and maintain maintenance logs for fleet vehicles Welding skills preferred
