We work with Medicaid providers and long-term care policymakers. Our platform connects passengers in urban and rural areas with trained drivers for hospital discharge rides and wheelchair accessibility. Overview We are seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our team as a dedicated contractor with guaranteed hours. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting our mission to deliver dependable transportation services to communities in need. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs. Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, and automotive electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently. Perform auto body repairs when necessary and ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Follow detailed repair procedures based on schematics and technical manuals; interpret diagnostic codes accurately. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working on GM vehicles preferred. Strong knowledge of Dodge and Toyota vehicles Work with brake systems and engine maintenance as needed. Expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, alignment, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and brake systems. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools; familiar with schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Excellent mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools; welding skills are a plus. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and tire services efficiently. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly; auto estimating experience is advantageous.
