Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Truck and Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and farm machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our customers fleets operational, minimize their downtime, and support their operational goals. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks, including tractor-trailers and light-duty vehicles, utilizing schematics and technical manuals. Conduct fabrication, welding, and metalwork repairs on various equipment components to restore structural integrity. Maintain and repair heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to ensure safe operation. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, suspensions, transmissions, air brake systems, and electrical components using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Perform routine maintenance tasks including tire service, oil changes, filter replacements, alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC servicing. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding techniques to assemble or repair machinery parts efficiently. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while documenting work performed accurately. Skills Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership or heavy equipment environments with strong diagnostic skills. Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking. Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift operation, and farm machinery maintenance. Ability to read schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge of Cummins engines, transmissions, air brake systems, HVAC systems, suspension components, and diesel engines. Skilled in automotive diagnostics with experience in brake repair, alignment services, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, welding gear, and other maintenance tools effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs.
