Automotive Build Technicians Job Type:
Contract (5 Months)
Duration:
5 Months with the possibility of extension or conversion
Pay Range:
$24-$26/hr Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly and installation of vehicle components. Support electrical integration, wiring, and system installation. Install and fit interior and exterior vehicle components. Conduct functional testing and inspections to verify vehicle performance. Diagnose, repair, and rework vehicles to resolve build issues and defects. Document and support defect identification, tracking, and resolution activities. Follow customer processes, build procedures, and engineering documentation. Meet production throughput and takt time expectations while maintaining quality standards. Participate in prototype and pilot vehicle build activities, adapting to evolving engineering requirements. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure successful vehicle builds. Required Qualifications Experience in automotive assembly, vehicle build, manufacturing, or prototype environments. Strong mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills. Basic understanding of electrical integration and vehicle wiring. Experience with vehicle repair, rework, and defect resolution. Ability to read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in prototype or pilot vehicle builds. Familiarity with defect capture and tracking systems. Knowledge of production concepts such as throughput, takt time, and quality buyoff processes. Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. Ability to quickly adapt to changing customer requirements, systems, and processes.
