Job Description

MUST HAVE BODY SHOP
EXPERIENCE- Automotive Body Technician About us Details and Dents is a small business located in the Upstate with our bodyshop being in Cherrydale. We are a quality 1st bodyshop with customer service being our goal.
Our work environment includes:
Attention to detail atmosphere Growth opportunities Unlike a car mechanic, auto body techs are not tasked with repairing the mechanics of a car or providing maintenance. They may examine a car for cosmetic imperfections, but they are generally not responsible for a car's mechanical upkeep. Automotive Body Techs perform a variety of job duties when reconditioning automobiles. Some of these job duties include: Retouching paint Following all company and safety procedures Ensuring quality work is done before moving on Notifying managers of equipment malfunction Repairing small cosmetic parts Driving cars to a designated spot after work is done Consult with customers Prepare damage reports and cost estimates and plan work Replace damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods and trim Realign car frames and repair structural damage Pound out or patch dents and other minor body damage Fit, attach and weld replacement parts into place and much more... Automotive Body Technician Requirements There aren't many requirements to become a auto body tech as far as formal education and licensing, but a specific set of skills is required to perform satisfactory work. Prior experience is highly preferred. Required Skills A few skills that are required of an auto body tech include: Attention to detail Teamwork/interpersonal skills Communication skills Knowledge of tools/equipment Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time Ability to lift heavy equipment Reliability is a
