Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including powertrain systems, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and alignments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Service vehicles by replacing parts, repairing engines (including diesel engines), and ensuring proper functioning of ADAS features such as lane departure warnings or adaptive cruise control. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems with precision. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, estimating costs accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, ADAS technology, powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software used in automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently. Service technician experience that demonstrates ability to handle complex repairs including diesel engine repair and wheel alignments. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
