As our Equipment & Trailer Service Technician, you're not just maintaining machines — you're the reason our construction crews can show up to the job site and get to work. What You'll Earn $32.00 - $34.50 per hour | Depending on experience What You'll Do Diagnose and Repair with Confidence Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines on small construction equipment Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on utility, cargo, and equipment trailers Identify and diagnose hydraulic issues on small construction equipment Stay Organized, Stay Efficient Manage parts inventory and maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Use computer systems for parts lookup, inventory management, and budgeting Monitor inventory levels to control costs and support profitability Support the Team in the Field Deliver, load, and transport equipment to and from job sites Communicate directly with crews and department managers to understand their equipment needs Work Safely and Take Pride in Your Work Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a hazard-free shop environment Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in every repair and task Bring a solutions-first mindset and help the team wherever needed What You'll Need 1-5 years of mechanical experience (small engine, diesel, or equipment repair preferred) Valid South Dakota driver's license (CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain) Hands-on knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components Comfortable using computers for parts lookup, inventory, and documentation Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work Where You'll Work You'll be based out of our shop in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, with occasional trips to deliver or retrieve equipment from active job sites.
