Job Description

Trailer Mechanic Reputable, growing, top notch trailer and truck dealer, and full-service repair/maintenance provider is seeking a highly qualified trailer mechanic, to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our trailers, campers, and diesel trucks (on occasion) to ultimately extend lifespan, and ensure safety on the road. Reporting to the president, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification of our vehicles. For consideration, we are seeking direct hands-on experience running diagnostic tests using a variety of equipment and tools, interpreting the results and determining the best solution to repair the issues and ensure all of our vehicles are safe and ready for operation.
Essential Responsiblities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components. Perform regular maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers. Take apart and put together vehicle engines and clean fuel tanks. Maintain and replace hubs and axles as needed. Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires. Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Test all vehicle systems and equipment for any issues. Ensure that trailers meet the safety requirements set by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Create inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management. Respond promptly to any client inquiries. Essential Requirements At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a trailer mechanic. A valid driver's license. Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems. Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic equipment. Excellent understanding of mechanical and technical information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Great interpersonal skills.
