Role Summary:
The person will be responsible for supporting the infotainment development team within our resource team, working to perform vehicle electronics installations of ECUs and test equipment, create and troubleshoot electrical adapter harnesses, and also flash and maintain the test vehicles with SW. They will also be responsible for assisting with organizing our parts inventory, equipment inventory, and our laboratory.
Role Responsibilities:
Vehicle and Bench Flashing and Configuration Tracking (40% of time) Responsible for maintaining / SW Flashing / HW Updates to our test vehicle and test bench fleet. Tracking / updating the vehicle configurations in our tracking systems. Test Vehicle / Bench
- Harness and Test Equipment Build up and Install
- (40%) Creating specialized test wire harnesses and custom vehicle installation of test equipment Maintain test equipment both in vehicles and on test benches Support for Vehicle and Lab Condition and Tracking
- (20%) Tracking / updating the vehicle configurations in our tracking systems.
Tracks the vehicles maintenance status, and fueling and cleaning if/when necessary. Work is on-site 5 days per week Day shift
Requirements:
Education High School graduate or GED Experience & Skills 3-5 years of related engineering experience Analytical and conceptual thinking
- using logic and reason, creative and strategic in the use of software Hands-on troubleshooting Creating specialized test wire harnesses and custom vehicle installation of test equipment Interest in electronics systems in cars Experience with hands-on troubleshooting of vehicle electrical systems Creating specialized test wire harnesses and custom vehicle installation of test equipment
Preferred/Desired Skills:
Experience with VW Group vehicles German language skills
