Education Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalentRequired Skills for the Product Design Technician
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering test specifications
  • Ability to process engineering releases
  • General ability of Excel and office tools for data entry
  • Detail oriented and critical thinking skills

CADProduct Design Technician Overview:
Creates and maintains specifications (drawings and models) of products per company, industry, national, and international standards, while positively impacting the organization's performance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures model and drawing quality
  • Creates and maintains product specifications utilizing Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing
  • Utilizes Computer Aided Design (CAD) data management tools for configuration control and to maintain security
  • Ensures application of company, industry, national, and international standards
  • Processes internal engineering work requests. Engages with required functional areas as needed
  • Participate in the maintenance of standards and practices which ensure quality
  • Participate in Drawing Quality Reviews
