Job Description

APHIX is looking for a hands-on Fleet Mechanic to keep our trucks, vehicles, and grounds-maintenance equipment running safely and reliably. You'll handle maintenance and repairs across our fleet, manage parts inventory, and help keep up with our asset management . If you take pride in keeping equipment in top condition and keeping crews moving, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Service, maintain, and repair all company equipment and vehicles to manufacturer specifications, balancing cost with longevity Keep trucks and equipment DOT-compliant and turn in required paperwork daily Maintain a stocked (but not overstocked) parts inventory and make approved field purchases of parts and rental tools Help implement and run inventory, asset-management, and maintenance software Work with crews to ensure their equipment is properly serviced and records are kept Open and close the facility daily and keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Track monthly maintenance budgets and report results to the Branch Manager Complete and submit daily reports; communicate promptly with crews, vendors, customers, and office staff Promptly return surplus materials, parts, and rental equipment What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience as a mechanic (required) High school diploma or equivalent (required) Working knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety requirements Valid driver's license (this role drives between sites regularly) Comfortable with Word, Excel, and Outlook Able to read, write, and speak English fluently Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have 3-5+ years of mechanic experience Industry certifications Physical & Working Conditions Involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting heavy objects, and operating equipment Regular visits to job sites that may be hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or hazardous, in all weather conditions
