In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle transmissions and powertrain systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their vehicles operate smoothly and safely. Duties Diagnose transmission issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics, ensuring accurate identification of problems. Repair or replace transmissions, clutches, torque converters, and related components with precision and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and inspections on powertrain and drivetrain systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems knowledge to complete repairs effectively. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic systems. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, dealership protocols, and manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, diesel engines, automotive electrical systems, and powertrain components. Skilled in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools proficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid certifications in automotive repair; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
