In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicle exteriors with precision and expertise. Your work will ensure vehicles are returned to their optimal condition, providing excellent service and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is passionate about auto body repair, possesses strong mechanical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and quality are paramount. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in automotive restoration and collision repair while working with a supportive team dedicated to excellence. Duties Repair and restore vehicle bodies using a variety of auto body repair techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, and surface refinishing Perform welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication to ensure structural integrity of repaired vehicles Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for auto painting, sanding, buffing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish Conduct auto glass replacement and installation with precision to maintain safety standards Prepare vehicles for painting using airless paint spraying techniques and auto painting skills to deliver high-quality results Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including alignment checks, light mechanical repairs, and assembly of repaired components Assist in auto estimating processes by assessing damage and providing accurate repair estimates when needed Handle heavy lifting safely during parts replacement or body panel installation while adhering to safety protocols Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about the work completed Skills Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair is highly preferred Strong MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal fabrication, and auto restoration skills Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for auto repair Expertise in auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying for professional finishes Ability to interpret auto estimating reports and communicate effectively with customers about repair processes Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed work in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all repairs performed Strong teamwork ethic combined with customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients Knowledge of auto glass replacement procedures and vehicle maintenance practices is a plus but not required Join us as an Automotive Body Technician where your craftsmanship makes a difference!
