Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a Service Department Cashier at Classic Kia Carrollton, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while handling customer transactions for our service department. You will work closely with our service advisors, technicians, and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient payment process. Your role will include processing payments, handling customer inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer customer inquiries regarding service charges, repairs, and payment options. Provide customers with invoices and explain charges if needed.
Payment Processing:
Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment. Process customer payments, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. Issue receipts and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all transactions. Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift and report discrepancies to management. Assist with filing and organizing service department paperwork.
Administrative Support:
Assist service advisors with scheduling customer appointments as needed. Help maintain a clean and organized cashier area. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred, preferably in an automotive or service-related environment. Previous experience with CDK is preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Primarily indoors in a professional automotive dealership setting.
