Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Small Fleet Mechanic performs repairs, diagnostic work and preventative maintenance on small equipment and complete scheduled and unscheduled repairs based on work orders in the repair tracking system.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required. Perform basic intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements following company guidelines on small company equipment. Create and process work orders. Document repair operations and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures. Assist co-workers with diagnostics and repairs. Requisition parts through the Purchasing Department. Conduct technical inspections and documenting findings. Maintain repair order documentation to include repair description, parts used and repair times. Perform monthly inventories as required. Ensure work area is clean and neat. Comply with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations. Immediately report any safety violations and correcting unsafe acts or conditions. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience with mechanical repair, e.g., automotive, power equipment, refrigeration, small engine Or a technical degree with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical repair Time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Must possess own tools
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) At least one year of experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products - i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook College or technical school-level coursework in automotive maintenance
REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Class C driver's license Safe driving record for the past three years
