In this role, you will leverage your expertise in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems to accurately identify and resolve complex vehicle issues. Your passion for automotive repair, combined with your technical proficiency, will ensure our customers receive top-tier service and reliable repairs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to keep vehicles running smoothly and safely. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using scan tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Utilize your knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and vehicle electrical systems to troubleshoot and calibrate complex systems such as sensors, cameras, and radar units. (Very limited) Interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins to accurately diagnose problems related to powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and other critical systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance including engine repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, welding, and the replacement of parts using hand tools and power tools. Collaborate with team members to ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly. Complete detailed repair orders, auto estimating documentation, and quality control checks to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction. Stay current with industry advancements such as ADAS calibration procedures, new diagnostic techniques, and evolving automotive electrical systems. Qualifications Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools, scan equipment, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignments, wheel balancing, engine repairs, and general automotive service. Knowledge of auto estimating software is a plus; excellent attention to detail in documenting repairs is essential. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Additional skills such as experience with domestic and foreign vehicles or diesel engine repair are advantageous but not mandatory. Join us if you're passionate about automotive technology!
