This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing modification work orders in both field and shop environments. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on Abrams Tank variants (M1A1, M1A2 SEP V2 & V3) Install and execute Modification Work Orders (MWOs) Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical manuals and flow diagrams Maintain accountability of tools, test equipment, and assigned assets Support maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations Collaborate with team members and government personnel to complete assignments Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience (military vehicle experience preferred) Basic knowledge of tools and test equipment used in heavy equipment or military vehicle maintenance High School Diploma or equivalent Valid State Driver's License (ability to obtain tank driver's license required) Must be able to obtain access to U.S. military installations (NACI clearance if required) Must be a U.S. person Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to work in field and shop environments, including military bases Must be able to work at heights and in extreme weather conditions Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to climb and work in confined/enclosed vehicle spaces Must meet anthropometric requirements for operating military vehicles Additional Requirements Willingness to travel as required for maintenance and retrofit activities Ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments Must successfully pass Job Proficiency Certification for Abrams fleet vehicles
