Automotive Mechanic

Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and tire service to ensure optimal performance. Repair or replace air brake systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other electronic safety features to meet manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, especially GM vehicles. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting. Experience with diesel engine repair and maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to work with schematics for complex electrical and mechanical systems. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, suspension work, brake repair, and auto body repair is a plus. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and transmission repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards.
