Company Overview Century Trucks & Vans is a family-owned independent dealership located in Dallas, Texas, boasting the largest selection of used commercial trucks and vans in the southwest. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and a wide range of vehicles to meet our customers' needs. Summary As a Counter Person at Century Trucks & Vans, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and assisting technicians. We operate differently than your average service department as we are constantly looking for better resource options. Do you enjoy searching out the best solution to a problem and making it happen? Responsibilities:
- Create repair orders & purchase orders, post invoices
- Source and order parts for technicians
- Acquire estimates from sublet vendors
- Make parts runs to various vendors
- Provide customer service and vehicle updates to sales staff
- QC completed vehicles to ensure the full scope of work requested has been completed
Requirements:
- Customer service: You must be well spoken, clear and concise
- Naturally proactive and organized. If you are the type to wait to be told what to do you need not apply
- Data entry accuracy needs to be impeccable
- Basic computer knowledge: Be able to navigate, save and transfer emails, files, documents, PDF's, photo's, etc…
- Be willing to be outside for short periods in all weather conditions
- This position is 60% desk, 40% outside. You will walk 3-5 miles per day
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools
