Operations Manager Job Summary FairPY Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team at our Irving, TX repair center. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of rental vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability for our customers. Your expertise will be critical in keeping our rental operations running smoothly by minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring every car meets our high-quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities Comprehensive Diagnostics:

Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of rental vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and vans, using modern automotive diagnostic tools and technical manuals.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and multi-point system inspections to prevent mechanical failures and extend fleet life.

System Repairs:

Service and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, suspension components, shocks, struts, and HVAC systems.

Electrical Troubleshooting:

Utilize automotive diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex electrical wiring, sensors, and onboard computer systems.

Fleet Reliability:

Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and wheel alignments, to ensure vehicle safety and fuel efficiency.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs performed, parts used, and adherence to service schedules using our digital management systems.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all vehicles meet state and federal safety requirements before returning to the rental fleet.

Shop Maintenance:

Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the Irving repair center.

Resource Management:

Assist in identifying part requirements and maintaining an inventory of common maintenance supplies.

Required Skills & Qualifications Certification:

Current ASE Certification (or equivalent technical automotive credentials).

Experience:

Proven experience as a mechanic in a dealership, rental fleet, or high-volume industrial repair environment.

Technical Knowledge:

Extensive expertise in automotive repair, including brake systems, alignments, suspensions, diesel/gas engines, and electrical diagnostics.

Diagnostic Proficiency:

Skilled in reading electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.

Tool Competency:

Proficient with professional-grade hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive diagnostic equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work comfortably in various positions (elevated or confined) while following ergonomic best practices.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical repairs to team members and management clearly.

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
