Mechanic Black Fox Services, LLC Black Fox Services, LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our internal fleet and customer equipment. This position plays an important role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional shop environment. Key Responsibilities Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on company fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards. Assist with repairs for customer equipment as assigned. Maintain and track service records for the Black Fox Services fleet. Work Area Organization Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment at all times. Return tools and equipment to designated storage areas at the end of each workday. Promptly clean spills, debris, and scrap materials to prevent hazards. Ensure vehicles are parked and staged safely within the shop and yard. Company vehicles must be parked in nose-out positions and backed into parking spaces when applicable. Tools and Equipment Maintain a personal set of standard hand tools necessary to perform job duties. Ensure personal tools are in good working condition and properly stored. Utilize company-provided shop equipment, diagnostic tools, compressors, welders, and other machinery responsibly. Company tools and equipment may not be removed from the premises without management approval. Communication & Team Coordination Maintain open communication with supervisors, office staff, and project coordinators. Provide status updates on assigned work orders throughout the day. Notify management of repair delays, parts shortages, or issues that may impact timelines. Coordinate with office staff on vehicle drop-offs, inspections, and return scheduling. Participate in team meetings and shop briefings as required. Reporting & Documentation Complete repair orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports accurately and in a timely manner. Record labor hours, parts used, and diagnostic notes for all repairs. Report safety concerns, vehicle defects, or repeat issues to management immediately. Ensure documentation is complete for internal fleet maintenance and customer repairs to support compliance and billing accuracy. Professionalism & Conduct Arrive to work on time and prepared with required tools and safety equipment. Follow all company safety policies and shop procedures. Treat co-workers, customers, and equipment with respect. Represent Black Fox Services in a professional manner at all times. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas outside of the shop. Time Management & Productivity Prioritize and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently. When work is delayed due to parts or approvals, assist with other shop projects, preventative maintenance, or operational tasks as needed. Maintain a strong focus on quality workmanship and efficiency. Qualifications Experience working as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic preferred Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair tasks Ability to maintain accurate repair documentation Must supply and maintain a personal set of standard mechanic hand tools Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment Work Environment This position involves working both in a shop environment and performing mobile mechanic services in the field. The mechanic may travel to job sites or customer locations to diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
