Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Auto Glass, Mechanical background if no experience we are willing to train. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass in vehicles such as cars, trucks, and buses. Their duties combine technical skills, safety knowledge, and customer service. The Technician will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
Duties Glass Installation and Replacement:
Remove damaged windshields, side windows, rear windows, and other glass components. Install new glass using adhesives, rubber gaskets, and mechanical fasteners. Ensure proper fit, sealing, and structural integrity.
Repair Services:
Assess cracks, chips, and other damage to determine if repair or replacement is needed. Use resin and other materials to fill and seal small cracks or chips in windshields.
Inspection and Assessment:
Inspect glass for damage and determine repairability. Check vehicle frame for rust or damage that may affect installation.
Preparation and Cleaning:
Clean and prepare surfaces before installation. Remove dirt, old adhesive, and broken glass fragments.
Customer Interaction:
Explain repair or replacement procedures to customers. Provide cost estimates and recommendations. Answer questions and provide aftercare instructions.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety procedures to protect customers, vehicles, and themselves. Ensure installations meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Use of Tools and Materials:
Operate hand and power tools (e.g., suction cups, cutting knives, adhesive applicators). Use sealants, adhesives, primers, and cleaning agents.
Documentation:
Maintain service records, repair logs, and customer information. Complete work orders and warranty forms. Mobile Services (if applicable): Travel to customer locations for mobile repair or installation.
