Customer Service Writer About Us:
DFW Lube Ventures LLC is a rapidly growing automotive service and repair company with multiple locations across the DFW area. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who understands vehicles, enjoys helping customers, and is not afraid to get outside, inspect vehicles, and be hands-on with the team. This is not a sit-behind-the-counter-only position. This is a working position in an active automotive shop environment. You will be outside in the heat, cold, rain, and normal Texas weather while helping inspect vehicles, assist customers, and support the shop.
Position Overview:
The Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for greeting customers, inspecting vehicles, documenting needed services, explaining recommendations, and helping provide a great customer experience from start to finish. A strong understanding of how vehicles operate is a must. You will be removing wheels from vehicles, taking pictures, recording videos, and clearly documenting what is wrong with the customer's vehicle so they can see and understand the needed repairs or services. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, customer-service driven, and understands automotive hospitality. The right person takes ownership, stays moving, communicates well, and wants to help customers make confident decisions about their vehicle.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner. Perform vehicle walkarounds and help identify customer concerns. Inspect vehicles and document needed services or repairs. Remove wheels when needed to inspect brakes, suspension, tires, and related components. Take clear photos and videos for customers showing vehicle issues and recommendations. Explain service recommendations clearly and honestly. Write estimates and communicate with technicians and management. Follow up with customers regarding approvals, declined services, and vehicle status. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Work outside and inside the shop in both hot and cold weather conditions. Help keep the shop moving efficiently during busy times. Deliver a high level of customer service and automotive hospitality.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 3 years of automotive service writing experience required. Knowledge of how a vehicle operates is a must. Must be comfortable working outside in hot and cold weather. Must be able to remove wheels from vehicles when needed. Must be able to take photos and videos to document vehicle concerns. Strong customer service and communication skills. Self-starter with a strong work ethic. Must be motivated, dependable, and able to stay on task. Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive shop environment. Must be professional, organized, and willing to follow company processes.
Preferred Experience:
Automotive repair or quick lube experience. Experience with inspections, brakes, tires, suspension, and preventative maintenance. Experience using shop management software such as Tekmetric or similar systems. Prior experience selling automotive services and repairs.
What We're Looking For:
We want someone who understands that great customer service starts with trust. Customers need to see what is going on with their vehicle, understand the recommendation, and feel confident that they are being taken care of. If you are experienced, motivated, hands-on, and know how to take care of customers the right way, we want to talk to you.
