The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of makes and models. This role involves diagnosing and repairing used cars to ensure they meet safety and performance standards, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the integrity of our dealership's reputation for quality. The position offers an engaging work environment where mechanical expertise and attention to detail are highly valued. Great pay and tons of opportunities to learn and grow. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on used vehicles utilizing automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains. Execute mechanical repairs such as engine repairs, brake work, suspension, steering, and wheel alignments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Conduct vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and inspections. Ensure all repairs adhere to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Maintain detailed repair records and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status. Assist in diagnosing complex issues using schematics and automotive diagnostics equipment. Qualifications Proven diagnosis experience or extensive mechanic experience in automotive repair. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience working with all makes and models. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software required. Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
