Job Description

Under general supervision, the Mechanic performs routine and non-routine maintenance to help optimize mechanical performance and operating efficiency. Assists with light to medium repairs on oilfield-related equipment. This position will report to our Roosevelt, Utah office.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the maintenance, service, and repair of natural gas engines and salt-water pumps Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and replaces systems associated with engines Verifies dimensions, specifications, and tolerances using blueprints Ensures mechanical optimization of the engines, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and cooling fans are functioning properly Participates in multi-discipline teams and team-directed activities Works with facility engineers providing input to optimize the systems Ensures appropriate requirements and records are maintained Responsible for ensuring appropriate requirements and records are maintained Maximizes the number of repairs performed at the lowest appropriate cost Maintains compliance with all safety and environmental regulations Expands electrical trouble-shooting techniques and educates others on optimal techniques Utilizes knowledge of production equipment to trouble-shoot mechanical problems Supports and assists the members of the operations department as needed Collaborates with both the operational and HSE team to effectively meet area and departmental HSE goals Complies with all the Company's Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary Participates in and adheres to all training programs designed to enhance HSE knowledge, safety standards and improve job performance Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Two-year technical degree or higher preferred Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required 0-2 years of experience in the mechanical field Previous experience with gas production equipment, engines, or gas compressors preferred
