Job Description

SUMMARY As a Master Vehicle Mechanic Technician at Snowbird, you will apply skills and knowledge of the automotive and heavy truck/equipment industry to maintain and repair ski resort equipment while transcending the maintenance stereotype.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Quickly diagnose and repair all vehicle problems. Implement preventative maintenance methods to reduce downtime and reduce P.M. service time. Fabricate advanced structures, vehicles, and vehicle systems. Design and construct vehicle systems from scratch. Assist with administrative duties such as purchase orders, receiving, inventory, and ordering parts. Pass on knowledge to less experienced staff. Pioneer safety practices. Document all parts usage. Document all work done on work orders. Follow all shop safety practices and dress code. Maintain tools and work area. Manage motor pool and have accountability for damage daily. Attempt to transcend the maintenance stereotype. Perform other tasks as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have all tools for all tasks. Formal automotive training. Formal diesel/heavy equipment training. Formal welding/cutting training and certification. Formal electrical training. Formal hydraulic training. 10 or more years related experience. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master certification recommended. Lift up to 50 lbs.
WORK SCHEDULE
Regularly scheduled work shifts, requires being on-call and working weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
