Automotive Technician, Air Conditioned Shop

CARL'S WASH, and Service Center is a small business in Chesapeake, VA, opened in 2002. We proudly feature our award winning Car Wash , Fast Oil Change center and the only ASE Blue Seal Recognized auto repair shop in Chesapeake. This position pays $30/ flagged hour, flat rate without an ASE Certification or VSP Safety Inspectors License. $35/ flagged hour, flat rate with an ASE Certification or VSP Safety Inspectors License $40/ flagged hour, flat rate with both an ASE Certification and VSP Safety Inspectors License up to $50/ flagged hour, flat rate with multiple ASE Certifications Successful technicians make $70k-$150k per year. This is a full time position with Sunday off, and alternating Saturdays and Mondays off.

The successful candidate will have a state inspectors license, a strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems on vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles. Test parts and systems to ensure they are working properly. Document work performed on vehicles. Provide and analyze inspection results. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications State Inspection License or ability and desire to acquire one Knowledge of flat-rate pay scale procedures Own tools are required (with your own tool box) At least 3 years experience required Strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair Proficiency in using hand and power tools for vehicle maintenance Experience with alignment and powertrain systems Knowledge of automotive electrical systems
