In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling vehicles with precision and efficiency, preparing them for detailed inspections, repairs, and rebuilds. Your expertise will help ensure that each vehicle is thoroughly evaluated and ready for the next phase of service. Duties Carefully disassemble vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring all components are removed safely and systematically Use schematics and technical manuals to identify parts, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies during teardown procedures Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and body parts to assess condition and identify repair needs Remove and document parts related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other electronic modules for further diagnostics or replacement Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to evaluate electrical systems, sensors, and powertrain components during teardown Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as removing engines (including diesel engines), aligning wheels, or welding as needed during disassembly processes Maintain accurate records of all disassembled parts, noting any damages or irregularities that may impact repair or reassembly efforts Qualifications Proven experience working in a dealership or automotive repair environment with a focus on tear down procedures Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, and body components Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical systems for troubleshooting during teardown Experience repairing diesel engines and working with ADAS technology is highly desirable Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic devices Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures such as wheel alignment and auto body repair techniques Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about vehicle conditions when necessary Join us as a Tear Down Automotive Technician if you're eager to apply your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced setting where every disassembly brings you closer to delivering exceptional automotive care.
