Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic Career Coach and ignite the path to success for aspiring automotive professionals! In this energetic role, you will serve as a dedicated mentor and trainer, guiding individuals through the journey of becoming skilled automotive mechanics. You will leverage your expertise to inspire confidence, develop technical skills, and foster workforce readiness. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering others while advancing your career in workforce development and social support. Experience with General Motors would be terrific! Duties Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to individuals pursuing careers as automotive mechanics, focusing on skill development and professional growth Conduct engaging training sessions on automotive repair techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices Assist participants with understanding employment laws, labor rights, and workplace expectations in the automotive sector Support individuals with developmental disabilities or autism by adapting teaching methods and creating inclusive learning environments Facilitate interview preparation, resume building, and recruiting strategies to help participants secure employment opportunities Collaborate with local employers, training programs, and community organizations to expand job placement options Monitor progress through regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching plans accordingly Requirements Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or in workforce development within the automotive industry Strong knowledge of employment & labor law relevant to the workplace environment Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable Background in addiction counseling, social work, or related fields adds value to supporting diverse populations Excellent teaching, mentoring, interviewing, and training skills with a passion for empowering others Ability to recruit new participants and develop engaging training curricula tailored to varied learning needs Demonstrated commitment to workforce development principles and inclusive practices This role is paid and designed for motivated professionals eager to share their expertise while fostering growth in others.
