Automotive Service Advisor/Service Writer

Service Advisor Location :

We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our fast-paced, independent automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will be organized, customer-focused, and skilled at managing the flow of the front office while supporting a team of highly skilled technicians.

Position Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer. Strong skills in customer service, repair estimating, parts procurement, and repair order dispatching. Ability to interact professionally with customers in person and by phone. Medium-duty and diesel truck experience preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers, assess their needs, and provide accurate solutions to automotive concerns. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage customer communications. Write repair orders and prepare accurate estimates. Apply sales techniques and maintain professional phone etiquette. Keep customers informed throughout the repair process. Manage bay flow and coordinate repair order dispatch. Assist with daily operations, including billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Use email, point-of-sale systems, and customer relationship management software effectively.
