Position Summary:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with industry, dealership, and Ford standards.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with Ford, recognized industry, other vehicle brands and dealership standards
  • Check all vehicle fluids and tire pressure on all tires
  • Complete multipoint inspections
  • Provide complete oil change service
  • Perform tire repair and/or rotations torqueing all lug nuts to proper setting
  • Install new oil change stickers on each vehicle
  • Continuously learn new automotive technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Commit to maintaining an in-depth knowledge of FORD vehicles and technology through FORD training, initial and continuing.
  • Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of Barton Ford;
  • Repair vehicles using appropriate tools, technologies, and procedures in order to restore vehicle to proper working conditions.
  • Support the efforts of other technicians and employees through teamwork;
  • Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.
  • Perform any other duties, as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
  • Need be self-motivated and a quick learner
  • Maintain a sense of urgency to meet customer expectations for completion of services, waiting and non-waiting customers
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • General mechanical skills
  • Automotive repair and maintenance knowledge and experience
  • Maintain Ford Mechanic Certification or working toward Ford certifications (Goal Master Certification)
  • Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
  • Maintain composure within the workplace, or outside the workplace when representing Barton Ford.
  • Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
  • Ability to follow management direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work positively with the public and co-workers
  • Be able to use computers for training
  • Be flexible with hours and willing work Saturday
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal back-round check
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Maintain valid driver's license and MVR within company policy requirements (Have a good driving record).
