Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while driving service sales and fostering long-term relationships. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs. Explain automotive repairs and maintenance procedures clearly, ensuring customers understand their options. Prepare detailed auto estimates using dealership management software, including parts, labor, and additional services. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work. Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper records. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business through excellent customer service. Qualifications Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, suspension systems, tire service, and auto body repair. Experience working with automotive estimating tools and service writing software. Proven ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Familiarity with automotive repair processes involving transmissions and other complex systems is a plus. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities. Mechanical experience or mechanic background is advantageous for understanding technical aspects of vehicle repairs. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
