In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will help accurately communicate vehicle issues, recommend necessary repairs, and facilitate efficient service operations. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service descriptions, estimates, and repair orders using auto estimating tools Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and parts requirements Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize customer value Manage cash handling transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities Coordinate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs including diesel engine repair, auto body work, alignment, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and more Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and answering questions about automotive maintenance and repair options Assist in vehicle maintenance scheduling, follow-up communications, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process Maintain a thorough understanding of dealership offerings including auto sales, vehicle maintenance packages, and warranty services Join us as an Automotive Service Writer if you're passionate about cars and dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences!
