Auto Technicians:
Ever feel like your shop just doesn't match your skill—or your standards? You show up. You do the job right. You take pride in your diagnostics and your repairs. But instead of feeling valued, you feel… stuck. Maybe the dispatching is a joke. Maybe the equipment's falling apart. Maybe you're tired of promises that never pan out and "management" that couldn't manage a toolbox. And every time you think about making a move, that voice kicks in: "Every shop says the same stuff." "You don't know what you're getting until you're already there." "Is it really worth starting over?" We get it. And we're not going to insult you with hype. Here's what we will do—give you the facts and let you decide.
BEFORE YOU READ ANY FURTHER
This is NOT an entry-level, lube tech, or general service position.
You MUST have:
3+ years working as an automotive technician in a professional repair shop Hands-on diagnostic and driveability experience (you can actually find the problem, not just read codes) Ability to work independently on a wide range of repairs without hand-holding A professional attitude and pride in your work If that's you, keep reading. If not, we wish you the best—but this isn't your shop. Art's Automotive has been family-owned and trusted in Cowlitz County for over 60 years. We're not a revolving door. We're not a chain. We're a real shop with a real reputation—and techs who stick around because we actually do what we say. We're looking for one solid, experienced tech who wants steady work, honest management, and a shop that respects the trade and the people in it. =>
