Job Description
Job Description - Mechanic Specific Responsibilities and Duties o Help perform routine maintenance and repairs on all the equipment such as vacuum trucks, dump trucks, street sweepers, hydroblasters, tractors, mowing equipment, etc. o Troubleshoot, perform repairs on vehicles, equipment, and small engines o Responsible for knowing how to properly operate and evaluate a variety of trucks, equipment and machines and how to maintain them o Respond to emergencies and perform jobsite repairs when necessary o Conduct routine performance and safety inspections o Weld, cut, and fabricate when necessary o Perform work safely, effectively and efficiently in accordance with safety rules and regulations o Communicate well with co-workers, supervisors & the BAI Leadership Team o Be willing to train others as requested o Help maintain shop restroom and housekeeping o Complete safety trainings by reviewing training materials and videos, etc o Help follow up on safety and housekeeping inspection items o Accept other job assignments outside of the shop willingly, when asked Requirements o Ability to read and communicate in English o Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic o Valid Washington State driver license.
