✨Service Writer✨ SmartHire is looking for a Service Writer to join a team in Tacoma WA. This is full time, direct hire and fully onsite. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience selling Transmissions along with experience utilizing All Data. In addition strong customer service and communication skills needed.

$25 - $30 an hour DOE + weekly group commission of up to $600 depending on sales + benefits
Schedule:
M-F 8am - 5pm

Automotive Position Overview We're looking for an experienced Automotive Service Writer to join our team and help deliver top-tier service to our customers. If you know your way around transmissions, can confidently discuss repairs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Greet customers and serve as their main point of contact throughout the repair process. Create and manage accurate repair orders. Explain recommended services, repairs, and pricing in a clear, professional manner. Prepare estimates, obtain approvals, and keep customers updated on repair status. Coordinate with technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule. Build strong customer relationships through communication, follow-up, and exceptional service. What we're looking for Minimum 1 year of experience with
TRANSMISSIONS
as an Automotive Service Writer, Service Advisor, or similar role Strong understanding of transmission repair and industry terminology. Proven ability to recommend services, upsell when appropriate, and close sales. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Customer-focused mindset with a professional attitude. Experience with All Data required; Mitchell 1 experience is a plus.
