(TRI) is seeking an experienced Lead Trailer Technician to oversee our 2nd Shift Trailer Shop in De Pere, WI. This is a working lead position for an experienced trailer mechanic who enjoys mentoring technicians, coordinating workflow, and setting the standard for quality repairs. You'll spend time both on the shop floor performing repairs and helping lead the team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and correctly. If you have experience with trailer repair, welding, fabrication, brakes, suspension, ABS systems, electrical diagnostics, and DOT inspections , and are ready to take the next step into leadership, we'd like to hear from you. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience = $26.50 - $35.00/hour $2.00/hour shift differential Quarterly performance bonuses PTO accrual starting Day 1 Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (multiple plan options) Company HSA contributions Company-paid Life & Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) with company match Boot allowance Safety glasses allowance Paid training and ASE certification support Stable, year-round work What You'll Do Leadership Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the 2nd shift trailer shop Assign and prioritize work orders Support technician development through coaching and training Ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule Promote a positive team culture and strong communication between shifts Verify repair quality and maintain productivity standards Technical Responsibilities Diagnose and repair trailers, including: Air brake systems Suspension systems Electrical and lighting systems ABS diagnostics and repairs Landing gear and wheel-end components Doors, floors, roofs, and structural repairs Perform welding and fabrication repairs on steel and aluminum trailers Complete
DOT/FHWA
inspections Perform preventive maintenance services Complete repair documentation and work orders Maintain a safe and organized work environment Qualifications Required 3+ years of trailer repair experience Strong welding and fabrication experience Experience performing
DOT/FHWA
inspections Knowledge of air brake, suspension, ABS, and electrical systems Valid driver's license Personal toolbox and tools Preferred Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Shop Foreman, Crew Lead, or Supervisor ASE Certifications Fleet maintenance experience Experience mentoring or training technicians Why Join TRI?
