If you have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, one year of experience working on trailers and brakes, possess a valid and current driver's license, and own your own tools, this job could be a good fit for you. As a Trailer Mechanic, your typical day would include: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all XTRA Lease equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with XTRA Lease repair standards. Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT). Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Work Environment:

This position works primarily on an outdoor work pad, and throughout the trailer storage yard via a brand new service vehicle. Daytime shift, eight hours between 7am - 6pm. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid Driver's License 1 year of experience working on trailers Experience replacing brakes on trailers As a Trailer Mechanic, you'll need one year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections consistent with the Department of Transportation requirements.
