Automotive Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Auto Mechanic Apprentice to join our automotive service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, providing a valuable opportunity to develop your skills in a professional dealership environment. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service across a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about automotive technology and eager to advance their career in auto repair. Duties Assist with routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, and fluid checks Support diagnostic procedures using automotive electrical systems and schematics Learn to perform brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignments Aid other technicians during repairs. Participate in repairs involving vehicle electronic systems. Help with auto body repairs Use hand tools and power tools to perform various repair tasks under supervision Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Support the team in vehicle inspections and assessments for customer service estimates Skills Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components Familiarity with schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostics tools Experience or familiarity with dealership procedures is a plus Knowledge of ADAS, air brake systems, transmissions, oil changes, powertrain, alignment, suspension, shocks & struts, brake repair, and tire service is desirable (willing to train the right candidate) Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication skills for working with team members and understanding customer needs Willingness to learn new skills related to automotive repair and maintenance Customer service orientation is beneficial for interacting with clients during service processes This apprenticeship provides comprehensive training opportunities designed to build your expertise in automotive repair while supporting your professional growth within our dealership.
