Job Description

Apera are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Aircraft Subsystems Electrical Technician to support the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of aircraft subsystem integration laboratories. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong avionics and electrical troubleshooting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced aviation or aerospace environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building and maintaining integration test labs, fabricating and troubleshooting wiring harnesses, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist in building and maintaining aircraft subsystem integration test laboratories. Support subsystem integration activities and troubleshoot integration-related issues. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness within lab environments. Electrical & Avionics Work Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and common electrical symbols/components. Repair and replace aircraft subsystem components in a laboratory environment. Fabricate, modify, and ring-out wiring harnesses for testing and debugging purposes. Perform wire cutting, splicing, crimping, and termination activities to aerospace standards. Quality & Documentation Maintain accurate lab documentation for modifications, repairs, upgrades, and configuration changes. Inspect work completed by other technicians to ensure quality and conformity with engineering specifications. Follow established processes and proper working techniques to ensure reliability and quality workmanship. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all safety procedures and best practices within the lab environment. Promote a safety-first mindset to ensure the wellbeing of all personnel working in the labs. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrical Technician in aviation, aerospace, or a related industry. Strong technical expertise in avionics systems and aircraft subsystem operations. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electrical and subsystem integration issues. Hands-on experience cutting, splicing, crimping, and fabricating a variety of wiring harness types. Ability to repair and replace aircraft subsystem components. Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to high-quality technical work. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Safety-conscious approach to all technical activities.
Preferred / Bonus
Qualifications FAA A&P License. Experience supporting FAA type certification programs. Familiarity with conformal test setups. Experience working with high-voltage systems.
