mail Tweet Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Apply Now > Job Description Description SAIC is seeking a Materials Engineer Sr Principal in Crane, IN. This position requires the candidate to provide program support for engineering and program efforts for Aegis equipped destroyers and cruisers.
Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, and improve branch level and project level processes to reduce cost, develop best practices, ensure safety, and ensure project and command level requirements are being met. Develop innovative solutions to improve process capability while maintaining and improving quality standards. Collect, record, transcribe, and analyze data. Provide input and lead engineering investigations and incident investigations. Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, technicians, and management to develop and lead corrective actions.
Qualifications Required education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and fourteen (14) years of experience Must have good communication skills, interface well with others Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form High attention to detail and quality Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks Able to keep work area clean and organized Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills
