Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of experience with avionics Minimum 3 years of experience with soldering (IPC 610 or JSTD001 certified)
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Avionics Technicians fabricate wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment systems for satellites and space system components for the International Space Station, Artemis, and Orion programs and commercial programs. Technicians are also responsible for assembling satellite buses and subsystems, as well as the assembly of other complex electromechanical projects. Measures, cuts, solderers, or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate a wire harness. Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists, to determine materials needed and the assembly sequence. Assembles cables, satellite buses, and electromechanical systems. Performs potting of connectors to protect from water/dust intrusion. Labels and packages cable harness assemblies for shipment. Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures. Treat all team members with respect and dignity, ensuring a continually developed and maintained collaborative culture. Other duties as assigned. Here's what you'll get
