Job Description

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Interiors Engineering department implements new passenger cabins and reconfigures existing cabins in Delta's aircraft fleet through the development and deployment of engineering solutions. The department supports the reconfiguration of Delta's cabins as an effort to improve our passengers' overall experience. Within Interiors Engineering, the department is comprised of 2 teams: Cabin Avionics and Cabin Design. Roles and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Define scope for cabin related designs, integrations, installations, and certifications of cabin components and systems, with respect to the interior, on all aircraft of Delta's fleet. This intern helps support initiatives of corporate strategies Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers/vendors, modification/repair sites, in conjunction with internal and external customers supporting the design and development of cabin reconfigurations, new product development, and/or new aircraft specifications Collect information, organize documents, and participate in design review meetings to support the development of Engineering Authorizations for prior-to-service or cabin retrofit projects; support prototype and production installations on remaining aircraft in the program What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Candidates for this position should have at minimum a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in current position Must be willing to travel as required (
