Aircraft Electrician - RAFB

General Description Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required. Duties Troubleshoot, modify calibrate and repair of complex aircraft electrical systems and equipment such as electrical power control and distribution systems, lighting systems, refueling and fuel quantity indicating systems, etc. Perform final functional and operational testing of these systems. Replace defective controls units, relay boards, servo units, or other components Set up and operate computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment to test and analyze circuitry and interconnected cabling of systems Interpret and apply a variety of technical information such as technical orders, repair manuals, schematics, etc concerning wire codes, wiring configuration and testing procedures. Set-up and operate computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE) Other duties as assigned Education/Experience Requirements We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing. High School Diploma or equivalent Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience Knowledge of operating electrical principles Knowledge of interface of electrical systems with hydraulic, electronic armament, instrument, and mechanical systems Experience using hand and electrical test units, meters, oscilloscopes, etc. Experience in reading schematics and wiring diagrams Must be a US Citizen Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities. Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date. This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.
