We are a mid-size avionics company and support all the major avionics manufacturers. We cover everything from 91.411/413 certifications to large panel modifications. Do you love aviation? Senior Avionics Technician Job Description:
NexAir Avionics, located in Plymouth, MA (KPYM), is a fast-paced, high-tech shop looking for Senior Avionics Technicians to perform full panel modifications, support junior technicians, and provide leadership to the avionics team. To be this person, you will need to have years of experience working on general aviation avionics. Core knowledge of Garmin, Avidyne and other major avionics manufacturers is a must. Qualifications:
Avionics Theory and Troubleshooting Technician Management Customer Sales and Interface Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and general software skills) Understanding of electronic design practices Installation and documentation of avionics products into aircraft Ability to use precision measurement equipment Ability to use electronic measurement equipment Drawing and specification interpretation Technical report writing skills Performance to project schedule Performance to project budget Certification agency (FAA) interface Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in Aerospace related fields, preferably in avionics FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License with Avionics background Core knowledge of Garmin, Avidyne, and other major GA avionics manufacturers
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise installations of avionics in customers' airplanes Provide technical support for products in customers' airplanes Perform bench level repair, test, and acceptance of aircraft avionics Document field failures and squawks, providing management with regular reports of quality and or problems and installation issues Report and correct installation problems Support company development efforts with hardware prototyping and test Analyze installation requirements and develop mounting systems for avionics mounts Perform assembly and test work as required for circuit board and higher assemblies Develop internal procedures for performing repairs in accordance with FAA and ISO requirements Travel to customer locations to perform installations, as required Participate in, and encourage, continuous improvement of all functions directly controlled and all technical functions indirectly managed Interact with Regulatory Agencies, as required Adhere to FAA Approved Repair Station, Quality, and Training Manuals Other tasks as assigned by the General Manager and Accountable Manager Compensation Salary Based on

Health Insurance Note:
Company will pay 60%, Employee will be responsible for 40%. Bonus and/or incentive compensation payable at the discretion of the Company, depending on individual and Company performance.
Note:
Company compensation and benefits may change from time to time, at the sole discretion of the Company.
Vacation days:
During your first calendar year of employment, you will earn one vacation day for each full month worked to a maximum of 10 days. For the second calendar year and subsequent calendar years you will earn two (2) weeks. Carryover to the next year of a maximum of one week of unused vacation time is permitted. Vacation days are increased to three (3) weeks after 5 years of employment, and four (4) weeks after 10 years of employment.
Holidays:
The Company observes 8 holidays each year as follows: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs/Fri), Christmas.
Sickness and Other Personal Time:
The Company allows 5 personal days per year to cover sickness and other pressing personal needs other than vacation and holidays. The 5 days may be used in any manner needed but cannot be used to extend vacation time. No carryover is allowed to the next year.
Trial Period:
NexAir Avionics has a trial period for all new employees. This period is for the first 90 days of employment. Benefits will not start until the trial period has ended.
