Job Description
VTUAV Test & Evaluation Engineer
System Planning Corporation, an engineering research and development firm serving the national security community, is seeking an experienced Vertical Takeoff and Landing Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTUAV) Test and Evaluation Engineer at its facility in Lexington Park, Maryland. Qualifications for this position are as follows:
Significant experience with Naval Aviation from the perspective of a Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer.
B.S. (preferably in engineering, physics or mathematics)Two years of Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) experience with associated naval aviation systems, in the analysis and evaluation of the performance of complex aircraft and weapons systems, particularly in the development of appropriate measures of operational effectiveness and operational suitability;Two years of developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) experience with associated naval aviation systems, in the analysis and evaluation of the performance of complex aircraft and weapons systems.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of DoD Directive 5000.1 and
Demonstrate knowledge of procedures in developing test criteria and TEMPs in accordance with DoD standards, including familiarity with IPT organizational structure, and the most recent updates to COMOPTEVFOR's formats for TEMPs, test plans, evaluation reports, and quicklook reports.
Demonstrated experience assisting with the technical writing aspects of all test documentation complying with
Working knowledge of Link 16, JTIDS, and similar related linking systems.
Experience with Modeling and Simulation, or direct reach back to their parent company for same.
Ability to independently verify program testing generated data, to include performing complex calculations then explaining results in everyday language.
Above average to excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to travel and work independently.
Above average proficiency with MS Office (emphasis on MS Excel and MS Word) and other software packages.
