Test and Integration Engineer KBR is seeking a Test and Integration Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC). An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required. The Test and Integration Engineer will support the AFNWC Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate to conduct end-to-end, stockpile-to-target sequencing to assess the entire operational envelope of the weapon delivery system, fire control, and nuclear warhead. The test program includes the full spectrum of nuclear-tasked operational weapon systems to include air-delivered gravity weapons, cruise missile nuclear warheads, aircraft, weapon delivery avionics, maintenance and operations personnel, technical orders and manuals, other associated support systems, and command-and-control processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate test activities, test execution, and post-test data processing and validation of joint test events.
- Support assessment and evaluation of integration efforts and data by various aircraft platforms for potential impacts of issues that may affect the interoperability of the weapon and delivery systems, and for compliance with interface requirements and nuclear certification criteria for the air delivered nuclear weapons programs.
- Model different test and integration scenarios, enabling the project team to proactively address potential challenges and to formulate robust management plans.
- Provide recommendations for technical and programmatic solutions to include the generation of ad hoc reports such as white papers and other analytical reports.
- Requirements management, testing/ integration, compatibility certification and weapon qualification.
- Manage ancillary equipment requirements, ensuing production and collaboration with the weapon storage facility program for warhead and ancillary equipment considerations and keep abreast of the nuclear certification programs of the interrelated projects (i.e., delivery system, platform, weapon storage facilities).
- Some travel to support customer mission and goals may be required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- 8 + years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a science or technical field, or 4 + years of related experience with a master's degree in a science or technical field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in fighter (USAF and non-US NATO) and bomber aircraft systems and the interoperability and integration of System 1 and System 2 communication protocols with nuclear weapon systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft engineering systems (i.
MIL-STD-1760
communication architecture and nuclear weapon integration.- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of integrity, even under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities by levels of importance and suspense dates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, including a matrixed environment.
- Able to work in a secure, confined location.

- Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and/or Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) experience (with nuclear platforms/payloads preferred).
