Job Description:
Job Summary:
Were looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Avionics Technician to install, test, and maintain complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong diagnostics skills, and the ability to ensure all aircraft electronic systems operate safely and effectively. Youll be instrumental in installing navigation, communication, and entertainment systems, troubleshooting issues, and meticulously documenting all work to meet stringent quality standards.Role and Responsibilities:
Install, test, and maintain complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft. Run wires and cables, mount antennas, and connect instruments for navigation and engine monitoring. Install radios, autopilots, passenger entertainment systems, and configurations. Ensure all avionics equipment works properly before return to service and does not interfere with other electronic devices. Remove, repair, and re-install any problematic avionics equipment before an aircraft is returned to service. Perform intricate and highly reliable soldering on components. Assemble and install electrical components. Provide accurate diagnoses of noted discrepancies. Organize ground support and test equipment. Analyze flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and study the operations of electrical components. Coordinate all work with the Avionics Manager, technicians, and aircraft maintenance crew. Keep detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with repair station guidelines.Requirements:
At least 3 years of work experience with aircraft electrical systems installation/repair and specific aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge. Certifications in electrical or aviation maintenance courses preferred. Experience with systems such as NAV/COM, Autopilot, GPS, and RVSM. An understanding of other aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Excellent analytical, attention-to-detail, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills. Steady hands and excellent eyesight.
