Duties Help As an Aircraft Electrician (Title 32) (Permanent), WG-2892-10, you will perform the below duties: Functionally tests, troubleshoots, inspects, adjusts, aligns, calibres and repairs the entire range of aircraft electrical systems toinsure maximum opering efficiency. Repairs complex power control and warning systems such as, master control panels, analyzing units, master caution panels, voltage regulors, supervisory panels, AC/DC generors, starters, inverters, indicing instruments, linear actuors and utility system control units. Fabrices, repairs and replaces wiring harness, cannon plugs and connectors. electric motors and modificions as directed by higher authority. Selects, operes. maintains and repairs specialized test equipment, measuring equipment and common shop equipment such as multimeters, vacuum tube voltmeters, tube testers, oscilloscopes, insulion testers, vary drives, magneto test stands, and electrical equipment test stands. Calibres and adjusts amplifiers, control boxes, and other equipment th vary voltage, resistance. frequency and load for analyzing various characteristics of electrical shop and test equipment. Must maintain a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles as applies to avionics systems to include a working knowledge of wiring diagrams. blueprints, technical publicion and schemics. Selects. studies. utilizes and updes technical manuals, TWXs, newsletters, MWOs and files in support of functional area of responsibility. Assists with identificion and requisition of tools, parts, equipment and bench stock required. Performs such travel as may be required in the accomplishment of assigned duties and the organizional mission. Performs on-the-job training as required. Evalues training effectiveness. May assist authorized firefighters in the performance of fire/ crash/rescue duties as required. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Applicant must have experience performing Aviion Unit Maintenance (AVU) and limited Aviion Intermedie Maintenance (AVIM) on aircraft electrical systems for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Applicant must you have least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to least the WG-9 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the prive sector but must demonstre th it is comparable to the WG grade indiced. This experience must include activities such as: Experience selecting, studying, utilizing, and upding technical manuals, TWXs, newsletters, MWOs and files in support of functional area of responsibility. Experience assisting with identificion and requisition of tools, parts, equipment and bench stock required. Experience planning work sequences, selecting tools and repair parts, carrying assignments through to completion and referring only unusual and difficult problems to supervisor. Experience selecting, opering, and maintaining common shop equipment such as multimeters, vacuum tube voltmeters, tube testers, oscilloscopes, insulion testers, vary drives, magneto test stands, and electrical equipment test stands.
